Pregnancy Update 34 weeks!

How i'm 34 weeks and 8 months pregnant I have no clue. Time goes by so quick. Thankfully I have been blessed to have a good pregnancy so far. My weight gain has only been around 20 pounds thank you Jesus I hope it only goes up a tad more and its all in the belly! I pray the next time around this happens again. Feeling your normal fatigue as well as not being able to sleep. I know what your thinking how could I feel both but, I do tired during the day as night comes I cant sleep. I crave sweets all the time and i'm on a Slurpee kick. I definitely cant wait to have Avery here already, this whole waiting almost 10 months for a baby is a long time to wait!

Camping while Pregnant!

Weekends are our favorite, so several weekends ago we went Tent camping! Yes you read that right tent camping while i'm 7 months pregnant. I was a little nervous to do this but, i'm so glad I did it. We camped on convict lake campgrounds a little before mammoth. We went fishing both days something I had never done before. It was was so peaceful and nice to not have our phones the whole weekend, I brought my pregnancy pillow as well as Devin has an air mattress you can blow up using the car lighter so we had that as well. Being comfortable was not an issue thank god! I was able to relax and watch Devin fish comfortably. I feel like people have this idea that once your pregnant or once you have a baby thats it you can't do anything. Though it gets hard I am definitely going to prove people wrong on how much you can do!

Coconut Oil Obsessed!

So I have recently reconnected with the long lost love of coconut oil. Here are the ways that I love using it!

1) Hair Mask- When I know i'm not doing anything and I have the time I take coconut oil and cover my whole head in it. From root to tip, ideally I like it sleep in it with a towel on the pillow up in a bun but, if i'm not able to then as soon as I get home from work I put it in my hair and leave it in for several hours till I shower. It leaves my hair so soft!

2)Teeth Whitening- This is called oil pulling I do it every so often when I remember. You take a spoon full of coconut oil and swish it around your more for between 5-20 minutes. Then you spit it out in the trash NOT THE SINK I put this in caps because coconut oil can go from a liquid state to a solid state which can clog your drains. F.Y.I.the consistency takes some getting used to.

3)Body Oil- I use this on my belly every so often. I have a couple differently oils I use on my belly which is in the belly time post. Its so hydrating and smells delicious.

4)Makeup Remover- So I had this suggested to me by a family member but never tried until a few days ago. I had forgot my normal makeup remover at home during my time house sitting for my parents. I definitely didn't want to sleep in my makeup so I took some coconut oil put a little on a cotton pad and it took my eye makeup off so easy and comfortably as well as my face makeup. I then washed my face with my normal face wash. My face was so soft after I never thought I would be excited to take my makeup off everyday.

5) Food/Drinks- So this is the only one that I haven't tried but I have heard things about. You can cook your food in coconut oil instead of vegetable oil. As well as using it as a substitute when baking. Coconut oil in small moderation put into a smoothie can also be beneficial to your digestive system. Plus it adds a nice tropical feeling to your smoothies.

Hope these were some helpful tricks to coconut oil. Be careful you may end up like me coconut oil obsessed.

Date Day!

Devin and I try and go on fun dates even if its a hike we consider that a date. So today was date day! What it date day you say?! It is a date that last all day !! There're my favorite and don't happen very often so I will soak it up and tell you all about it.!
First stop was of course to hit my pancake craving mykes cafe. How could I not stop here! I totally forgot about about a picture because we ate it so quick!
Second stop our favorite place Disneyland! We have season passes so we only pay for parking and we bring snacks water and lunch so were not spending a ton on food. I always sneak in a treat though this time I skipped on the treat and got some more ears. ;)

Before the game on the left, the score in the middle, I won! I had to get an after he found out I won picture.

Third Stop Anaheim Honda Center to see our favorite men the La Kings. We have never done a Disneyland and kings game all in one day. So this was a first and we have always wanted to do it. Its preseason so tickets were cheap. We couldn't pass up the opportunity to do both this Sunday. Hope you guys had a great weekend! I would love to hear about your dates comment below on what you like to do or suggest.

Tina Andrade Photography.

I couldn't tell you how obsessed I am with the photos that I get from my photographer. No i'm not just doing a post about her because shes my aunt. I seriously love her!!! She always does such an amazing job, takes her time and always has great picture ideas. I will use her for everything until I can no longer use her. She's always up for anything and willing to travel which is so awesome. Awesome enough that I can't wait to take my maternity photos with her you guys will die at where its at. Here are some photos from a couple of photoshoots we did.

Devin really never had good military pictures that he loved so it was my mission to get some done! When he was getting out of the military I took the chance and decided to get some "last time in uniform" photos. Here are a few!

Our pregnancy announcement ones were fun to do especially because our puppy Brody and our love for the kings were able to make an appearance in them!

You can catch her on

Belly Time!

I've been wanting to do this post and hopefully help someone out trying to figure out what to use on there growing baby bump! So these are currently what I've been using, I say currently because I like to switch and try new things. I use a lotion twice a day and an oil twice a day. I start in the shower by  putting on the Argan Oil by OGX right before I get out and giving a quick rinse. When I get out I ether put a tiny drop more on, of the Argan Oil or I get a little bit of the coconut oil and put that on. Of course thats not enough I recently ordered the palmers moisturizing oil as well to try. I will definitely tell you how that goes.

I started in my first trimester using Cocoa Butter Formula massage lotion for Stretch Marks. I love this so hydrating I just felt like I was flying through it and was ready to try something else! I moved onto The Righteous Butter body I was reading the label at Ulta and thought it was perfect. It is super hydrating and the smell is amazing the only thing I'm not diggin' is the way it feels on my hands. I wash it off my hands after I put it on. I'm clearly not done with it yet but, Trader Joes got me again! Pumpkin body butter yes you heard me right! PUMPKIN! It smells like heaven my boyfriend thinks it smells like baked goods. Who wouldn't want to smell that way haha. Its super  thick  and hydrating.I will more then likely go buy some more before they stop having it. What do you guys like to use ?
                                                       Lots of love, Mylisa :)

Cravings Galore!

For the most part I try as much as I can to make healthy choices. I have a great man that meal preps healthy lunches every Sunday. Yeah I could be better everyone always can do better. I definitely crave sweets the most and envy those that crave all the healthy items I would love to eat. But, if i have to choose between desserts and vegetables I'm sorry give me a plate of dessert please! I haven't had one specific thing that I've craved during pregnancy its more like a bunch of things. In the beginning I was all about beef jerky and pickles weird I know but, I could pounds of that stuff!
Now I'm a huge fan of cheese preferable mild cheddar, pancakes, fries and milkshakes. So healthy right ? Now the cheese I have to eat everyday I limit myself though I don't go nuts maybe like one or two slices. Pancakes I have to have once a week or I will probably go nuts thankfully my amazing father owns a restaurant called mykescafe So I have an unlimited supply of pancakes!

Now the fries I really don't go nuts on those I just eat them you know when there available and there so you definitely don't have to ask me twice if I want any!
Thought I would throw in a picture at the fair with fresh chips (a.k.a. flat fries), nacho cheese and bacon. I know what your thinking but, it was offered to me haha. The milkshakes I never over do I have a great substitute for that protein shakes! Devin is super health conscious and is an avid gym goer so he's got plenty of protein for me to steal. Look out for some fun protein shakes that work great as milkshake substitutes on my food page as well as the meal preps we do on Sundays!

Maternity Fashion

This was definitely a rough one for me to come to terms with. Your body changes so much, its exciting to see your bump grow but in the beginning stages its really hard to see your self gaining. I had hoped I would just wake up and boom there's a cute little bump. So this obviously didn't happen and I went  through a phase of feeling chunky having nothing to wear and maternity clothing was too too big. Six months pregnant and both the green shirt and leggings were to big. Both were an extra small.

I found a solution! Don't give up! Keep looking even if it takes you hours like it did for me. I have found my balance in wearing tight clothing and non-maternity clothing. Pants I went to h&m these aren't pictured but they are mama super skinny jeans I love them! There so comfortable I ended up finding legging at target in xs on clearance and on the rack which was nice, as well as a few shirts.

Dresses I'm obsessed with tight, loose and maxi. I try and get dresses that I know I can wear after my pregnancy so its not a complete waste. I found that Pink Blush Maternity has the best maternity dress for work and events before and after baby! Hope this helps and don't be afraid to ask for help or advice i'm always here to help!
                                                       Lots of Love,

Our Pregnancy Story.

When you grow up you are instilled at a young age the right way to do things meet the one, get married and start a family. God had a different plan for us thats for sure. I met the right man the one I would marry in a heartbeat. I moved in with him supported his schooling helped in any way I could. I felt as even though I wanted to be engaged before I did any of this, but he was the one, I know we will get engaged when the time is right. I never thought that I out of all people would get pregnant not once but twice! My birth control was causing me to feel terrible, moody and not in the mood if you know what I mean here, I chose to stop that method of contraception fully taking, knowing and accepting whatever happened next. Well surprise a month later I was preggers early February 2016. I didn't know what to think of feel, thankfully with a supportive man in my life he was overjoyed and ready for the challenge. I surprised him with a pair of converse a baby kings shirt and a poem on adventure. At that moment I knew we could take on anything. Everything came to a halt pretty quickly I was in my 8th week when I miscarried, that is something I wouldn't wish upon anyone. We were truly devastated, having to tell our family was the hardest thing I had ever done. I feel like these big things happen so we can appreciate more of the little things. When you see so many people have fertility problems you start to think i'm I going to be just like that. We talked and decided that we would use protection after the miscarry. We didn't talk soon enough though. Here came god throwing in another curve ball. We had had sex once before using protection after the miscarry just ONCE. That was all it took. As I waited the allotted time of 5 weeks to get my period again it didn't happen. I took a pregnancy test which was negative, waited a week took another. What do ya know i was PREGNANT! I didn't believe it I went to the doctors and they told me nope the test was negative. I was definitely confused I was on week 6 no period. They had me wait a week and come back. The following week the night before I was to go in and test again I was dying not knowing if I was pregnant or not. So I dd what every girl would do and took another test myself POSITIVE. I knew I wasn't going nuts, when I arrived the next day at the doctors test in tow I was preparing myself for the worst. That didn't happen. I was Pregnant they said, all though I expected the worst but new the worst couldn't happen I was shocked at how quick that happened! My first doctors appointment after would confirm that I was farther along then I thought which meant I was pregnant before I could even think about not being pregnant the first time. God has a way of doing things that for sure.
Lots of love,
Mylisa :)
